How hard is it to understand local government is your councilors and mayor main things to worry about there is rates and rubish pickup, then u have state government main things here are rego, road laws, most criminal laws. Then federal this basically helps fund the states, keeps the overall picture going. So if anything is to change with rego blame Anna Bligh not Julia gillard.

Ps. Sex party is senate .. Your vote for te leader depended who u choose in ur electrate I think they were green or yellow slips. Obviously you fail to understand but you have electorates in these electrates you have ppl running to be members of parliament. Each major party endorses one of these ppl the ones who aren't endorsed are called independents. You vote for these ppl now if labor or coalition get more ppl voted in then the partys leader is appointed leader of te country.
In actual fact it's deadshits like u who don't understand how government works that caused a hung parliament. I bet u didn't even bother to read your local member for parliaments policys before you voted...
