Step 1: make a name including the word "Motorsport"

step 2: get some fan boys who buy stickers off you and tell everyone how great you are

step 3: over charge, dont consult owners on extra work you are doing and will be over charging them for

step 4: deny everything

step 5: blow a few engines up and rinse and repeat steps 3 and 4

step 6: go brankrupt and then fan boys from step 2 will move onto a new workshop

mechanical and tuning knowlodge is not needed.

when people bring cars back with problem ensure they sit for atleast 3 months before you look at them.

tuning knowledge will come as you get more car sluts, this will procede step 5.

I am working with Lee on this project. I am working the dyno section.

I guarantee over 600 rwhp on every car unless it isn't rear wheel drive.

Sure, you will go to the racetrack and run a 15 at best, but you will have the dyno
sheet for all the wank factor you need.

you forgot to add;

- trade new parts off your car and claim they are 'shagged'

- add unexplained klms to the car

- deny speed camera images and dodge invoice dates to present in court when you have the originals :P

- leave radiator caps off

- give cars back with two new tires

I could keep going but might upset people

I've had a car in a certain toowoomba based tyre place.. called... QUICKFIT.

I had put the car in for 2x new tyres + balance/fit/alignment.

They called me to tell me my car had dropped all its radiator fluid, power steering and brake fluids.

They decided to go ahead and change that all without my permission and attempted to bill me $750 for the favour.

Also, had another car in another place called Col Wilkies in Toowoomba. They fixed a car I had in an accident and claimed to replace certain external panels. When I got the car back, stone chips I knew were there before were merely painted over.

Another place called Wayne Smith Smash Repairs in Toowoomba painted my red bonnet ORANGE and then CLAIMED it would "DEEPEN OVER TIME". I took it to someone else and they laughed me out of there. I had it fixed obviously. Wayne Smith did however make up for that, by leaving a full socket set + ryobi cordless drill on my engine for me to find when I got home.

As you can imagine, I take cars to mechanics now with 5L of fuel in the tank, and I take photos of the car before had (meticulously) and also take photos of the odo. I do tricks like using a permanent marker to mark certain bolts I know they need to change etc.

I got a couple storys like that...

took car to get alarm fitted. when we dropped it off reset 'max' on boost controller and also changed to channel 2 which was 16psif rot rack instead of 21psi.

Car came back had traveled 42kms and had hit 21.4psi. When questioned the manger said "impossible we only drove it from 20m from carpark to install bay and back". When installed ecu had valet mode installed. 3500rpm limit and 5psi boost cut, so more than 1/3 throttle it would hit boost cut before 2200rpm.

same car, had new/larger turbo installed. charged us 7hrs labor.
then had the car tuned etc. about 3 weeks later we found 3 of 4 bolts holding turbo on where only on by a thread or 2. So we tightened them, told the shop but we had fixed it already. Then a week later going over Mt Mee making the car work *cough*antilag*cough* a mate behind us had to dodge red hot bolts falling out of the car. Dump pipe fell off.

off topic: was up the coast yesterday ray, was dissappointed not to see the SS picking up sluts.

dropped my ae82 in for a windscreen and a wheel alignment and it came back with a 1/4 tank of gas missing, burned out clutch and air leaks around the edge of the windscreen.
mum took same car for new tyres for rego. tyre place rotated the tyres and charged her for 4 new Potenza G3's. she defended them saying that they were new and i said well you've done well to scuff 2 of them already (2 of the tyres already had scuffs)
