i have seen a few V6 commos now with CS14 superchargers on them...
what boost could you run on a commo with the stock setup.... injectors ecu ect???
and would running that boost be worth wile i think you can get a 103mm pully that wll run 5psi..

but will 5psi make much of a difference..
also will the engine try and suck more than the blower will allow in the high rpm rang there for becoming a restriction...

cheers

It can be done and it'll get you a bit of a low down result. But like you have said up top it becomes more of a restriction then a help.

The only time I've seen it work quite well was when there was 2 SC14 blowers used.

One of the best for bang superchargers I've seen is the Raptors. Was very sus on them until I went for a drive in a few.

Getting some decent numbers for fuck all work too

^^yup ive fitted about 5 raptors to v6's, easy 250 rwhp with no other work. a good zorst and cooler will see that exceed 300.

fairly cheap too, 5k will get full kit

do they require forged internals?

or is it just chuck it on and pipe it up?

5psi is really pushing it on stock injectors, fuel pump and tune.

i ran around for a few months on 4psi which gave me around 180rwhp but like the others guys have said, spend the money on a raptor instead

cs14 supercharger $400 at your local wreckers.. raptor supercharger $5k.

just thought for the $400 only running low boost would make for a cheap mod to gain maybe 20hp or so

everyone seems to hate the sc14 kits, i had a mate with one on his VN, cost him about 800 for all the gear, and i think bang for buck, cant be touched

how much boost can a stock engine setup handle??

and what would be the most boost a stock vr engine could handle safely

if your fitting the piece of shit toyota blower , it would probly be safe to run 20psi , because honestly i could blow into your intake and make more boost pressure than they do

on something that pumps a decent amount of air 8 - 10 psi would be fine , also depending on intercooler allow for 2 - 4 psi of pressure drop :)

sorry forgot injectors , they might help , but most kits come with injectors :)

for a light boost upgrade they are ok, u cant up the boost as the pump is already peaking at its efficiency on the v6 (due to being pulled off a 2.8ltr motor) so therefore intake temps are rather high, hence the not much noticable improvement in power.

if you can do it for 800 then its worthwhile, crs kits retail at 2500 for them.

yeh the CRS kit is a rip-off $2500 for 2 brackets, a heat range colder plugs, longer leads, and a bracket to remount ur coils.

bang for ur buck, leave the standard clutch pulley on it, makes like 3-4psi, and u will notice the difference more so then spending $750 bucks on a set of roller rockers from YT or alike
